چکیده

– In recent years it has been observed that some power converters can exhibit deterministic chaos. Since converters have wide industrial applications, it is useful to study their bifurcation phenomena in order to understand the change of behaviors as circuit parameters are varied. Therefore this paper aims to investigate some complex dynamic phenomena that can occur in currentprogrammed DC-DC boost converters. To this purpose, the paper illustrates bifurcation analyses as well as new possible pathways through which the converter may enter chaos. In particular, based on PSpice design, it is shown that variations of supply voltage and inductance generate interesting bifurcations and novel routes to chaos. Key-Words: Bifurcation, chaos, DC-DC converter, PSpice design of switching circuit.

Nonlinear Phenomena in Power Electronic: Chaotic Behavior of Buck Converters

Power electronic is rich in nonlinear dynamic. Its operation is characterized by cyclic switching of circuit topologies, which gives rise to different nonlinear behaviors. Among power electronic converters, DC/DC buck converters have been studied with constant-frequency pulse-width modulation feedback control in continuous conduction mode. Time-domain and phase-space plots for several periodic ...

Piecewise Constant Switched Dynamical Systems in Power Electronics

This paper overviews nonlinear dynamics of switching power converters which are common objects in dynamical system theory and power electronics. First, complex dynamics of single switching power converters is discussed. Their nonlinear switching can cause rich chaotic and bifurcation phenomena including complicated superstable periodic behavior in discontinuous conduction mode. Second, parallel...

Chaotic Response and Bifurcation Analysis of a Timoshenko Beam with Backlash Support Subjected to Moving Masses

A simply supported Timoshenko beam with an intermediate backlash is considered. The beam equations of motion are obtained based on the Timoshenko beam theory by including the dynamic effect of a moving mass travelling along the vibrating path. The equations of motion are discretized by using the assumed modes technique and solved using the Runge–Kutta method. The analysis methods employed in...

Synchronization and Chaos in Multiple-Input Parallel DC-DC Converters with WTA Switching

This paper studies nonlinear dynamics of a simplified model of multiple-input parallel buck converters. The dynamic winnertake-all switching is used to achieve N-phase synchronization automatically, however, as parameters vary, the synchronization bifurcates to a variety of periodic/chaotic phenomena. In order to analyze system dynamics we adopt a simple piecewise constant modeling, extract ess...

Bifurcation and Chaos in Size-Dependent NEMS Considering Surface Energy Effect and Intermolecular Interactions

The impetus of this study is to investigate the chaotic behavior of a size-dependent nano-beam with double-sided electrostatic actuation, incorporating surface energy effect and intermolecular interactions. The geometrically nonlinear beam model is based on Euler-Bernoulli beam assumption. The influence of the small-scale and the surface energy effect are modeled by implementing the consistent ...
